“I tried several forms of therapy after being the victim of a violent crime. I found the Ommani Center and Stephanie Delmore, who introduced me to EMDR therapy. I cannot explain how it worked, but it changed my life. I learned how trauma is stored in the body and mind and how to release it and find peace. Stephanie’s expertise and calm and supportive demeanor helped get me back on track and changed my life. I highly recommend Stephanie for any form of therapy, but especially for therapy for healing from trauma.”

“I cannot say enough about what EMDR therapy has done for me. When Stephanie first presented the therapy to me, I was a little confused about how it would all work. To be honest, I still don’t understand exactly how it works, but I do know how much change it has brought in my life. EMDR has allowed me to access thoughts & feelings about past life events from my sub-conscious that I didn’t even realize I had. Over the course of my time working with Stephanie, I was able to work through and process things that I have not been able to fully work through for years, with other therapists in regular behavioral therapy. It is a wonderful tool and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her. My overall state of anxiety is much lower & I can honestly say that memories and events from my past that used to cause me anxiety and panic attacks no longer bring on those negative/anxious feelings. I would recommend this therapy with Stephanie to anyone looking to make positive change in their life!”

“I can’t say enough about EMDR. I had gone to a psychiatrist before for about a year and stopped for financial reasons. I was struggling with perimenopause and happened to be in a pharmacy when I saw Dr. Kumar’s book. I bought it and read it and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I was willing to try most anything to feel better physically and emotionally. Among things like changing my diet and yoga, I decided to try and heal myself emotionally. Stephanie explained EMDR and her qualifications for using it. I admit I was skeptical. After doing it now I can’t say enough about it! I had been to a psychiatrist in the past and I got more out of EMDR and further in my healing and understanding in such a short time than I ever did with psychiatry. EMDR is healing like forgiveness from the inside out. Thank you Dr. Kumar for the book but for me personally, thank you Stephanie and EMDR for helping me heal, reassess and feel happy about life and myself again.”

“As a healthcare provider myself, I was very intrigued by EMDR and it’s ability to help me with my stress and chronic pain.  Stephanie was able to guide me through the process, assisting me to recognize the early memories that were triggering my stress responses in my daily life.  By addressing these memories with EMDR, I found I was able to “quiet” them and no longer react in the manner I once did.  I was truly impressed by how quickly and effectively EMDR was able to get to the source of my stressful reactions.”

I first started seeing Stephanie Delmore in April of 2015 thru the recommendation of Dr. Rose Kumar. Because of an automobile accident in March, I had become fearful, anxious and angry while driving. Loud noises scared me, sometimes to the point of crying, even while I was not in a car. Basically, I was suffering from post-traumatic stress.

Thru my sessions with Stephanie I had learned that it wasn’t just the car accident that was causing my stress, but many other traumas that had occurred throughout the decades of my life. Things, no matter how large or small, that I had buried deep within and either thought didn’t matter anymore, or I had forgotten altogether. These traumas were embedded so deep within my cellular level and layered upon each other in such a way that they were impeding my ability to have a normal, healthy life.

The method of treatment that Stephanie used with me was EMDR or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing. I can’t truly explain the mechanics of this, but whatever it is, however it works, this method really worked for me. Starting with the car accident we peeled back layer after layer, like the levels of an onion or the rings on a tree. Each session brought up different, and at times surprising events in my life, events that were affecting my life in such a profound and undesirable way, leaving me in fear, anger, stressed and untrusting.

During the 10 months of my sessions, she helped me to discover, acknowledge and release each of these traumas that were impacting my life.

I can’t impress enough how liberating and joyful this has been for me. If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, please give EMDR and Stephanie Delmore a chance. The treatment may seem outside of the box, so to say, but it works!

A year has gone by since my last session and I am as strong as ever and among other things, enjoy driving once again.
