Shed to Grow

When we observe the natural world, we can learn much about ourselves.

Butterflies shed their cocoons to emerge beautifully and gracefully transformed. Baby birds chip their way out of the shell to fluff their wings and fly. Snakes shed their skin when they begin to grow.

We can do the same.

Often, we are energetically and emotionally weighed down by our own, others’ and the world’s worry, fear, anger, and pain. We feel stuck, trapped, overwhelmed or numb. We feel like we are carrying “the weight of the world.” We know we want more from life. Often, we are either too tired or just can’t see a better way.

This weight we carry prevents us from tapping into the Divine flow of creativity and joy. It prevents us from knowing ourselves and following our calling to unique self-expression. The weight of “should” prevents us from contributing and serving from a state of abundance.

But we have a choice. We can carry on, stuck in a too-tight skin, unable to grow and change. Or we can consciously release that which no longer serves us or the greater good. We can grow into who we are becoming. Our highest selves.

I invite you to join me in this guided meditation of shedding to free yourself for growth and joy.
